Just received an email from myself back in 2012, telling me a bit about what I was running back then, what was going on in my life, bit of comedy Was a fun surprise, I had completely forgotten I'd sent an email from this site with a 5 year wait date on it before it sends Just sent myself another one for 2022 https://www.futureme.org
I made another one. I sent one to myself 20 years from now, telling me to create a predetermined email address from gmail for my offspring to use. Then I sent another future email 40 years from today to that predetermined email address of my yet-to-be born offspring, telling it to use time-travelling devices, if they are invented by then, to come to the year 2017, 30th of January 2PM local time and say hi, possibly take me with it! 2PM local time is an hour from now, finger crossed! :nerd:
My 1st company made us write letters to future us. 2 years after they gave back our letters. I still don't get point of it. Nothing but cringe.
Don't write anything cringe worthy lol Just interesting stuff that you're likely to have forgotten in X number of years I put current gf (Same today) Current PC specs (Only mobo and RAM are the same today) Asked myself if I had got my big flat screen TV that I wanted back then (Only had CRT for many years, yes I got one) Couple of funny things the dogs get up to, and gf quirks, they all still do them 5 years later Asked myself if I had made my millions coding Android apps yet (Unfortunately not)
I guess I should send myself an email to ask if dx12 is finally working properly. Or if we already got any new stuff / visuals besides a major performance update to dx11 (which arguably does or does not work for people)
I asked similar questions, but thing is, 5 years is not that far. I can remember what happened to me 5 years ago. What hobby or specs I had or about family members. That 1 thing I was writing to myself: "now that you making decent salary, have you put your rig under water yet?". Pffff, or stupid me from the past, there much better ways to spend or save $1000. If my family was moving from places to places and I was changing girl friends like an toilet paper, yeah I could totally use that... I just don't find a good thing to write. I still remember all my dreams as I was a child, what I wanted to become, how many kids I want, when I want to get married, etc... Maybe it's cool to write what you had at the time and what you have now. So you can compare and be happy or sad with yourself. But still, I remember what I had 5 years ago. Anyway, I am glad you find it pleasant. Sorry.

No I am not. I actually think its more fun to write about things beside myself, rather than about myself or things that related to myself. Now I wish I could remember memes I made 5 years ago... EDIT: not like it related to myself... I see myself out.
