...or is it? According to this thread there is an updated version of D3DOverrider since the one published with RT 2.24 but the rest of us haven't seen anything to it yet. According to this thread the last news on RivaTuner 2.25 is from May 2010. I know Unwinder has been very busy with work on Afterburner and EVGA Precision. But I think it's about time Unwinder came out of the bushes and made some kind of statement regarding Riva and D3DOverrider. Rivatuner is still the most powerfull tool for grfx tweaking and D3DOverrider is the ONLY tool that truly provides triple buffering for DirectX. Unfortunately both tools are outdated. D3DOverrider has no support for DX10 and DX11 and RivaTuner does not work with the latest driver releases from NVIDIA. Unwinder - you have a huge fan club. I think it's about time you get your head out of the corporate world and start supporting the rest of us again. If you need money then charge us. I will be more than happy to pay for both RivaTuner and D3DOverrider if they are up-to-date. Please - any news at all on Riva and D3DOverrider?!
I admire your bravery..... but I fear you are about to feel the wrath of a certain somebody ............:leave:
mods please close thread, if you read properly into it you will realise the status of unwinder. unnecessary thread
This thread is more than necessary. I want a statement regarding Riva and D3DOverrider from Unwinder. Something we all can relate to instead of weird posts scattered all over this forum. ;-) Are Riva and D3DOverrider discontinued or not?
RivaTuner is discontinued, sorry. All other non-profit oriented activity here including providing direct MSI Afterburner feedback and collecting end user suggestions in the forum is discontinued as well. The only factors affecting the tools I develop now are direct and reasonable requests of vendors per contracts, asking MSI to allow recently introduced video capture functionality to be available to everyone instead of locking it to MSI hardware only was the last freeware related stupidity I did. That's not a question of needing money and charging you. That's a question of huge "fan" base visiting this place and throwing personal insults left and right after each release and after rejecting each fake bugreport and I'm deadly tired of it. I'm 200% disappointed in freeware scene and have no interest in it anymore, sorry. It is absolutely not fun to waste good part of your life on contributing the community then see such "fan clubs" in the different forums inspired by the next RTFM hater. Try to contact somebody like that mr. Matrices himself, I'm pretty sure that all of those "fan club" members are much more experienced and can provide their own products as a replacement and provide daily and high quality support as well. And whiny little bitch and ****ty ******* will gladly have a lesson of social skills from those nice and polite people.
Thank you for your statement. Sadly enough - the world is filled with people who own an ego lager than life. It seems these people are growing in numbers and getting worse. I can perfectly understand your choice and I fully respect it. I was hoping for an update for D3DOverrider but I guess I'll have to use brute force and OC the living cr.. out of my pc instead! :-D Thank you for your honesty. I wish you the best with your current and future projects. (Enjoying Afterburner btw...;-)...) This thread can be closed.
http://www.datafilehost.com/download-49eec52f.html ^ Atleast you don't need RivaTuner anymore just to get the application, wasn't uploaded by me either c1:
Crap. That down right sucks. I still have it in my tray and am faithful to it. Hopefully you will feel differently later and maybe just focus on Nvidia driver enhancements in RT. Folks don't read or understand what you have said about having to deal with and work around AMD's crappy drivers so the "kids" could play better. Well, I hope you get the spirit again and update RT. I fully appreciate what you have done for ME personally in the past. I have learned a lot from you and I have gained a lot of respect for you and your skills. Say Hi to the family from me. Thanks pal !
Rivatuner is an amazing program. I still use it to this day and to think that it never gave me an issue, even since it hasn't been updated in a while, it still was able to adapt to newer nvidia drivers, etc. That "fan" is the whiny B****, his first mistake was buying an ATI card anyway When I look at the inner working of Rivatuner, I am amazed at the complexity, flexibility and vastness of it, it's a work of art IMO. Obviously that's why you got scouped up by MSI. Good luck to you Unwinder and thanks for the years of amazing work!
This is too sad.. Would it be possible to put the D3Doverrider up as a separate "official" download? It's a wonderful app and it'd be a happy day if it could be added/integrated/bundled with Afterburner!
D3Doverrider is good, but it plays living hell with your desktop / programs if you forget to turn it off after playing the game
Really? It makes my Live Mail client turn black round the edges My Messenger becomes unusable, other things too, not especially windows, but other open programs
It has profiles... I would use 'em if I were you. Set global to none and fore tb and vsync only for the apps that need it.
I also noticed new DX11 games do not like D3Doverrider much? I got my GTX570 and 1st two games I throw at it barf if you have forced triple buffering on, namely mafia II and Metro 2033. Or is that just a coincidence and other DX11 games work fine?
