my second rig is an ITX rig it consists of: i5 4690K @ 4.8GHz 1.31v 16GB 1866MHz Kingstong HyperX Savage RAM ASUS Z97-I Mobo Silverstone 500W SFX PSU 1TB HDD 250GB Samsung 850 EVO SSD (OS drive) and it had an MSI GTX970 GAMING 4G GPU I upgraded to an MSI GTX1070 GAMING X GPU The performance boost is MASSIVE!!! For anyone else interested in upgrading from a GTX970 I highly recommend it!!
Just an FYI This card boosted by it self to 1987MHz/4007MHz by only changing the power limit in MSI AB to max 126% and temp limit to 92C basic custom fan profile and the GPU never exceeded 60C!!! Well worth the upgrade if anyone else is thinking of it.
:banana:Awesome score dude I upgraded from a 780 and I see a great performance boost in the hard games to run but that's about it. I don't doubt I'll be disappointed once the more demanding games follow, In plus 1080p with this card should be smooth for awhile. Congrats on the new rig though hopefully many great nights of gaming in your future.
Yea just played GTA V at complete max details (even all the advanced option enabled/maxed too apart from frame scaling) and with 4X MSAA too and it was around 70-120fps!!! Like seriously that's an insane boost my GTX970 was getting around 60fps with a lot of stuff turned down or off completely! The card also boosted to 1948MHz whilst playing too on its own and was only using 54% power! So it seems like I have some headroom for overclocking! It seems that i7 helps a lot compared to my i5 in my ITX rig. Im gonna run 3dMark Spy Demo on my main rig which has an i7 and 980Ti (see my sig <<<)
