Ive never been able to get crossfire to work. the game does 3 things with crossfire enabled game loads from steam to a black screen after getting to story mode button it loads for about 10 seconds and then kicks to desktop with no errors or reasons after hitting story mode button it loads for 10 seconds and then PC restarts automatically out of the blue. disable crossfire and game runs great. Well until this update i just did, now it flickers like crazy. wasnt sure if im doing something wrong if there was a trick. Thanks if anyone has any knowledge of my problem P.S. crossfire works fine in BF3 and BF1
Drivers, clocks, Crimson settings, did older versions work? We need to know more. GTA V works flawlessly on my cards in CrossFire mode. Used to work flawlessly on 7970 CF as well.
My clocks and settings are all default for my GPU's. I just started playing GTA5 about 7 months ago. cant remember which driver that was or if i had crossfire enabled. i play a couple games that cant use crossfire so i have it disabled a lot. just recently enabled it and got into GTA when i realised it wasnt working for GTA. But like i said it works great in Battlefield my driver is Driver Packaging Version 16.50.2011-161223a-310015C i just installed the new one today
i noticed in the radeon settings under the GTA settings there are some options for crossfire Default AFR Friendly Optimize 1x1 AFR compatible Use AMD pre-defined profile its always been on Default Mode I dont know what any of them mean. I tried googling them but didnt get far with solid info. Do you recommend anything from that?
GTA V had CFX support and still has. I launched it 5 minutes ago with 16.12.2 drivers default settings in GTA V profile it scales very well, here 100% usage on both GPUs: Spoiler The problem with GTA V is shadows and distance, if they are maxed the performance decrease and scaling is...awful.
For what it's worth, I noticed the same with SLI, only shadows and distance are scaling weirdly when put to max, taking them down a little already helps.
