Are you sure about that? I thought I read somewhere that it wouldn't disappear.

 

Im half way through chapter 2. Got to get 3000 valor points, thats gonna take a while. Farming rep is quite easy at the moment, i went to Thunder Island found a spot where mobs keep spawning and got 12000 very fast. You get 121 with that buff + guild flag.

 

They just said that when patch 6.0 comes out, the quest that involves getting the 3000 honor will be removed and only players who have already started on the quest line will be able to continue it. When WoD releases, all the quests will be gone completely.

In WoD, there will be a new quest line to get a legendary ring.

 

Yea i read that last night. Suppose i can try and get it before quest disappears.

VP are taking long, might as well get rep with black prince to exalted for now. Only need to kill about 175 mobs

So that must mean the end of the cash cow has been canceled aswell.

I see it as a good thing. If thats the real case then. Its always better when devs love their product rather than making of for the sake of it or money!

Guess we will see another 2-3 wow expansions then?

 

I thought wow only had 1 more expac in the pipelines?

I guess it depends on the Player Base aswell.

 

If you mean WoW , there was never any plan to end it even if Titan would have been released.

 

They are already working on the one after WoD and I expect more after that.

 

Yea im pretty sure there will be at least 1 more after WoD. The rest depends on the crowd and popularity of the game.

 

So, for those playing the beta.... Did they actually add more content this time, or is it mostly BS "daily grind" type content that made up most of the MoP quests?

 

God this quest is taking ages! get 3000 valor points! who thought about that?! The rest of the questline actually looks alright, but this one!!!

 

I think they wanted us to go back to the PvE questing instead of grinding dungeons from 90-100 (which is why there are only 4 levelling dungeons).

 

That's not really what I was asking. I can deal with grinding dungeons. What I have issue with is them claiming to add so much content just to find that most of the supposed content is in the form of daily quests and quest chains that require you to spend weeks or months grinding for rep.... I want actual content.

 

Aha, I see what you mean. I don't know about that but I also hope that we won't have to go through that again.

 

As soon as the WoD prepatch hits (which looks like next week), that quest will be gone so don't worry about it. You will have to complete the rest of the quest line in a month though because once WoD launches, the whole thing goes.

Also JFYI, when that quest was first put in, it was 6000 points you needed to get.

 

Even if the player base gets down to 1 or 2 million, they could still do expansions. LOTRO is still cranking them out and they may not even have a million subs. They are in a F2P model though which I don't believe WoW will ever be.
