Question about my resolution

    I recently replaced my MSI Radeon R9 390 with an MSI Geforce 1080GTX Ti 11GB. Before this I could turn the resolution up to 2560 x 1440 and higher
    while Gaming with no problems. With this new card, nothing higher than 1920 x 1080P shows up. I have the latest driver installed. I appreciate any help. I could even push the resolution of my 60" Samsung to 4K levels via right click Desktop "Change the appearence of your Display". Now , 1920 x 1080 is as high as it goes. Am I missing something ?

    I know you feel like you got your question answered, but I feel like you still don't understand your question....
    D/VSR = DYNAMIC/VIRTUAL super resolution. It renders internally at higher resolution and downsamples to 1080. The effect is supposed to be like full scene anti-aliasing. It does not change your resolution.

    Exactly. The monitor is not physically capable of displaying higher resolution than 1920x1080 because it has 1920 horizontal and 1080 vertical physical pixels. DSR and other virtual upsample/downsample does not really give you higher resolution. There are also scaling issues that make it worse overall than using real antialiasing and image quality improving settings, which is why i have DSR completely disabled.
