I have installed RivaTuner and really like its features. I just can't seem to get the fan speed control to work on my NV5. It appears to stay at the same speed, regardless of being in 2d/3d/high3d, even though I set it to run at 30/50/80%. The fan is plugged into the card, rather than the mobo.
Pete B, the fan speed control isn't supported your 6800 gt! eheheh!! the fan speed control is supported to work the my graphics card!! loolll!!
ricardonuno1980 For the first time, I simply warn you that this forum is definitively not the best place for spamming and 100% useless postings.
Is there any other program that I can use to make my fan work harder? It doesnt seem to pump that much air out, considering the size of it. I am also happy to flash my bios if the setting is kept in there. I have done that before with out any problems. Unwinder, It may seem like a stupid question, but why would a non reference cooler make any difference? Doesnt the Fan speed % equal a voltage, which is increased to spin the fan faster? or is there more to it that simpley a voltage increase?
Pete B I believe speed control of the fan is not through an analog control (amount of DC voltage) arrangement. In a digital DC environment PWM (Pulse Wave Modulation) is usually employed. For more info...(http://www.netrino.com/Publications/Glossary/PWM.html) Cheers DD2
