Here is a review of the latest M.2 SSD from Samsung, the 950 Pro

    http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/samsung_950_pro_m_2_ssd_review

    This is a M.2 PCI-E NVMe drive.

You should know that there are currently 3 types of M.2 drives:

M.2 SATA - These use the motherboard SATA channels and as a result will only be able to reach the same speed as regular SATA SSDs ~550MBs

M.2 PCIe AHCI - These link directly into the PCIe lanes which brings with it a massive bandwidth increase. Max sequential read speeds at the moment seem to be ~2200MBs for the Samsung SM951 AHCI

M.2 PCIe NVMe - NVMe is a new specification for SSDs and brings with it much lower latency than traditiona AHCI drives. Max sequential read speeds at the moment seem to be ~2500MBs for the 950 Pro NVMe

Hope this helps out a little bit. A lot more information is available on the web.

Also if any of this information is wrong please feel free to point this out :)
