    Hey guys

I guess this may be relevant to all of us (and I hope in the right section).

What's the best thing to use (preferably free software) for backing up my existing win 7 SSD to create a BOOTABLE image in case the win10 upgrade goes horribly awry?

Surely you're not expecting it to go wrong? Haha

A bootable image? I imagine most clone software programs use a live usb/cd with the program on it like the one I use.

I have a reserve clone from my 8.1 system on an eSata HDD so it's bootable from it if needed. Made it with with Easeus; Aomei or Macrium are other free tools to do it. As eSata seems to be recessive a bootable USB3 flash drive might be the most popular alternative.
