Hi, Im currently running Win10 on an Ocz Vertex 4 512gb ssd on my Msi gaming 5 z97 mobo, performance is ok but im getting the upgrade itch, Im also running an i7 4790k and Evga gtx980ti classified....im happy with both for now but im tempted to try an m.2 drive to replace my boot drive, main reason for this is to boost os boot times and general os performance, my steam games are run from a sandisk ultraII 960gb ssd and Origin games from a Western digital velociraptor 1TB drive, so its just my os and save games that are on my boot drive, currently looking at a Samsung 850 EVO M.2 500GB but ive just spotted a Samsung 960 EVO 500GB M.2-2280 SSD PCIe 3.0 x4 NVMe for £230 but not really sure if the 960 will even work with my mobo or if the the 850 will give me a boost, any advice appreciated.

Im aware that with using an m.2 drive i will lose sata ports 5/6.....thats not an issue.

    Thanks in advance
