It's a trial thing.
Plus it's a 20 or so old game, the real price they charge, £5 or whatever, is insane.

Yep, I have said it before I will say it again.
If Nintendo want any chance of rising to the top once again. The next DS HAS to be a phone of some kind. Even if they have to copy the PSP Go push design where the phone has that slide function to reveal the buttons. Base the OS off Android and make a specific part of the app store for their old NES, Gameboy, SNES, N64, Gameboy Advanced and even Gamcube games. Imagine owning a phone where the phone is free with a contract to a cell/mobile phone provider, you then get access to every game off all past Nintendo consoles. Even if they offered the Original Mario Bros. game for 1p they would make a massive profit. The games could even stream to the phone as they are so small, save in memory, your save files save to the cloud (or a dropbox type service). I would be first in line for a phone like this.

The 3ds has sold around 40 million, they're hardly struggling dominating the handheld market.
Plus they have quality assurance, the reason they don't pump out virtual console games left and right is partly to make sure they work on the emulator they use, people will playtest them extensively.
That and no saturating their own market.

No i will stick to first party discs version thank you very much Ninty, although i might buy the odd indie game here and there.
