This isn't new, 1.9.6.5 had it too and yes its for adaptive vsync

btw, force adaptive vsync in driver and then check in nvinspector how it configures, this way you will know for sure which is what

Ah, sheit. I read the drop down options too quickly and and thought that I spotted adaptive v-sync option under vertical sync list.

In the Nvidia Control Panel, the vsync/adaptive setting are all in one setting. So with Nvidia Inspector, you have to use two settings to do it, first force on vsync then turn on the adaptive setting? Is that right?

I have Win7, so it should be there by default - but it might be corrupted.

I wish I could use this, it's my favourite 3rd party program for video cards. But regardless of how unsatisfied I am the 6900 series now has sort of stable drivers and there aren't all that many PC games that I want to play anyway. There isn't a good enough reason for me to upgrade that justifies the price. Hopefully the GTX 780 won't cost a left nut... who am I kidding I better start saving my pennies now.

Me too, was the main reason I was reluctant to switch from Nvidia to AMD last upgrade.
