    The best possible quality you can get on YouTube is an UNCOMPRESSED FILE - let youtube do their cakky compression for you.

    This is why I rarely play BF4 :D

    I don't have the reaction times to play against people that good, or even half as good, by the time I see an enemy and aim, Im dead 3 times lol

    Yeah they went too far this year when they reduced the standard 1080/30fps to 6mbps down from 8.

    lol, true that, try uploading even 10k bitrate on 1mbit adsl upload :bang:

    Seems like the 60fps setting stops the video from loading on FF, have to drop below 720p for it to play - hope they add a 30fps 1080p setting until FF gets support

    I have Google Chrome 32.0.1671.4 as a secondary browser.. and 60FPS looks fantastic.

    Now all we need is for Youtube to give the real browsers support for this new feature.

    Ubisoft is full of crap saying 30fps is better than 60fps because IT ISN'T 60 is better than 30. As I stated before if upscale something from 30fps to 60fps then you are getting a clearer picture. Look at movies at 48fps they look sharper and clearer than at what ever the native fps is for movies. Ubisoft has no idea what they are talking about.

    UBISOFT are only saying 30fps is better because they don't have the talent to code games well enough so that they can run @ 60fps

    Ubisofts approach is to just throw more and more staff at a project to get it done on time, no wonder they don't have time to optimize

    To be fair, while it's true Ubisoft are doing some pretty crap work in their games lately.. it all comes down to the "next gen" consoles.. if you can call them next gen that is.. they aren't powerful enough to do what they are trying to do with them at the resolutions they are trying to do them at.

    Hence Ubisoft saying 30FPS is better because in reality they absolutely cannot go higher than that due to the consoles not being powerful enough.

    Dang, just saw replays of some Street Fighter matches and 60fps is so much smoother.

    But surely if they code for consoles, a PC will easily be able to run it twice as fast

    You would think so... it doesn't help that these new consoles have a different memory setup in comparison to PC's, which leads me to believe this is the reason for the games not running as well as they should on PC.

    But still, you are correct that Ubisoft just aren't optimizing the games to run correctly on PC.

    Yea agreed, I mean if other companies can release much more demanding and graphically complex games that run extremely well, there's not really any excuse - and then you have that ubisoft guy saying rez is not important and 30fps is the future....

    I just downloaded a 2:58 trailer for Star Citizen in 60fps called "Citizen Hornet F7C" and it's 300mb with a bitrate of 14,117 kbps. That's pretty darn good for youtube if you ask me.

    The problem with Ubisoft and "next-gen" console games is the fact that BOTH the PS4 and Xbone are not powerful enough. These consoles should have the power to run every game at 1080p, and most of those @ 60fps. The only games that actually hit 1080p/60 are "remakes" or have crappy textures, poor LOD, and horrible shadows.

    But what did everyone expect from a console using 3 year old laptop tech? PS4's GPU does 1.84 tflops. Top end graphics cards to 3x that all day long. At newegg you can buy an equivalent discrete card for $99

    This one? http://youtu.be/g0gZES2pTWk

    What resolution was it you played it at because I got:

    2160P = 17,068
    1440P = 5,590
    1080P = 4,156
    720P = 2,163
    480P = 1,235

    And I have to say 300mb @ 60 fps or 30 fps for a 2:58 video does not equal 14,117

    178 seconds multiplied by 60 frames per second = 10,680 frames
    300,000 KB divided by 178 seconds = 1,685 kb/s This figure would be the same for 30 fps, as bitrates are like that.

    Using H264, this is pretty poor either way especially when you consider they cut off the top and bottom of the 0-255 colourspace as they use 4:2:0, not even 4:2:2, for YouTube.

    You end up with a blocky, blurry 16-235 colourspace which makes everything look grey and dull.

    Roll on 4:4:4 H265 or VP9 with half the bandwidth requirements and we can kill off H264 overnight and just pretend it never happened.

    I've said it before, if you want the best quality on YouTube, upload a 4:4:4 file whether that's uncompressed, or using H265 and let YouTube do the compression for you.

    This is what Movie companies and games companies do, because they know two things:

    1) How fugly YouTube is when you have triple compression.
    2) That H265 and VP9 will mean all uncompressed content and H265 content will not have to be uploaded twice - as it's already been uploaded.
