Like Omek said ,install a fresh windows (format it before installing)

Many user got problems when they go from nV to Ati.

    Ok...

I reinstalled windows, but this time went with XP, and IT WORKS!!

I'm no longer experiencing any gpu lockups or BSODs with any games. The bad thing is that I still don't know what the root of the problem was. I guess it could have been driver incompatibilities with vista, or directx10 issues.

    I guess I'll never know.

Anyway, thanks for the help guys. I'll continue to post here on your forums and help out whenever I can. I'd still like some suggestions as to what might have been the problem, as my gpu didn't seem to work properly under any configuration with vista or windows 7.

Is your CPU heat sink full of dust? That can OFTEN cause bsod's and random lockups that someone might mistake as a video issue... Keep that **** clean!
