Hey there, I have around 280 € ~ 360$ to spend on a new gpu, and I was thinking nVidia this time around, because I decided random BSODs aren't as pleasent as one might think. I am torn whether or not a 660Ti is really worth the extra money compared to a regular 660, what are the main differences? Is it only faster clock speeds that I can reach by OCing a 660 anyways or are there actual, significant hardware differences? Thanks for your input.
Irrelevant, going to upgrade to i5-3570K very soon too. 7870 is gone because of BSODs. Allright thanks, so there are actual hardware differences, interesting.
OK. http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desk...specifications http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desk...specifications 660 ti has much more cuda cores but is clocked lower I'd say 660 Ti is worth it, 660 would be a downgrade from 7870. Where are you buying from?
http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/660?vs=647 660ti has the same shader count as a 670 1344. a 660 has 960 shaders
/\ True. You can find some Palit, PNY, ZOTAC basic stock ones tho for $410-420 but that's the lowest I have seen.
