The 7970 is now around $300 and the 7950 is now at $179.99 after MIR (before taxes). AMD is about to lay a smackdown on Titan. It's coming. :wanker:

I hope so, the drop on a single 7970 and the release of 13.8 drivers is making me want to go crossfire again :)

Hmmm, decent 7950 is still £220 here, 7970 is around £300.

2nd post, and I've been eyeballing the 770, but I think I should just wait until October when AMD reveals their new GPU line. I've never before followed the GFX wars, but this year I'm really getting into it, I can't wait to see what AMD does in response to the 780/70/60! ...Should I be worried that they might under deliver?

Scan have them at pretty much what I paid for my 780. Plus all the free games.

When they do drop I may grab a 2nd, wondering if my 620 has the muscle for it though.

This is crazy. Because if those prices dropped this way, it's to make space for new adequately expensive pieces.
And those will have proportionally higher performance to justify price.
I am torn between getting another gpu or wait for 2 new ones.

I've read about Apple A7 chips on 20nm having 1st tap out in May2013 and that risk production should have been ready by July2013.
With full production at start of 2014. Then last month I've read that TSMC seriously optimizes their 20nm printing tools.

So I hope we'll see next month some crazy 20nm pieces instead of 28nm with still very good performance boost.
Even if 28nm HD 9970 had just 40CU (2560 shaders); 384bit mem bus @6GHz; 48ROPs & 128TMUs with same architecture like HD 7970 then it would still trade blows with Titan.
And I guess HD 9970 will have few extra upgrades since it's been cooked for very long time.

Not a fan of PowerColor but those are some good deals! I'm really waiting for the 7950/7970 price drop.

I'm not a fan of PowerColor either....or MIRs for that matter.... There always ends up being someone that gets ripped off by MIR deals. But, for those willing to take a chance....and actually get lucky with the MIR...the prices are pretty damn hard to beat.

I'm looking towards the 9870 (or whatever AMD calls it) myself.

Powercolors ok, I had a 4870 from them which I managed to RMA. Was replaced with a better version. RMA process wasn't exactly smooth though.

Switching over to AMD? how come? I might buy another 7950 if the prices drop enough, if not, I'll just sell thie 7950 for under £150 and get a 9950 most likely :)

Kinda OT but would you mind posting a GPU-Z screenshot with your BIOS info showing...and can u include the P/N of your card (on outside of box 113#).

    Just wanna check something....
