Default W7 slow booting in Safe Mode - 06-08-2017, 21:09 | posts: 2,027

W7 U x64 SP1.

Windows starts normally, but Safe Mode loads very slowly.

'Loading Windows Files' does one driver or system file at a time, taking about a second for each.

Any ideas?

Vaguely remember my laptop doing that with 7, iirc it was because of the video driver not getting loaded, the driver loaded lines went up the screen in slow motion

Interesting.

Yes, that is exactly what happens.

No way to force the driver to load?

Thanks

Not that I know of, that's kinda the point of safe mode

Shouldn't be a regular thing having to boot into safe mode though, so once in a while didn't really bug me too much
