Genuine excited for this. It's one of those games like Ridge Racer that are just necessary on a Sony platform.

It was confirmed the games will have a different soundtrack, probably due to licensing.

I'm really excited for this. One of my favorite console series.

Looking good. The tracks look a little bit dull and uninspiring though.

Is there anything new here, or is it just a remaster of the remaster? I have the Wipeout Collection on PS3 and it is already 1080/60, so what does that version offer on top of that? Not interested in 4K .. yet ..

Same content, but better textures, some lighting improvements, and HDR support.

Really, it's a chance for them to re-sell the content to those of us who no longer own PS3s. I couldn't justify keeping mine around, and I'll happily pay an upgrade tax for this game.

Why can't they port it over to Windows? It would kill all the competition! The closest thing we've got on PC is poorly optimized Formula Fusion which even makes the fastest GTX 1080 Ti sweat.

It makes perfect sense to keep it for PS4 only.
This way people must buy a ps4 to play all those exclusive games.

We were lucky to get 2048 on pc at the time, even though it sucked really hard compared to the playstation versions.

Check out Redout on Steam. It's a Wipeout knockoff. I haven't had a chance to play it yet, but the vids I've seen look really good.

I'm sorry to tell you it's nothing like Wipeout (which has weapons) but at least it runs alright.

To be fair, 2048 is a remaster of the Vita game that needed a remaster. It was too ambitious for the hardware. So there's a game that wasn't from the ps3 There's also HDR, 60fps, better lighting, textures...many reviews claim it's one of the best looking games on PS4. Plus..it's Wipeout...THE futuristic racer.

Try Redout. It's the closest thing you're gonna find on PC and it's not half bad.

If only Nintendo would get their act together and give us an 1080p/60fps F-Zero game with 64 player online multiplayer.
