There will be a 1080-Ti, it's just common sense.

Nvidia has an entire highway to place a product between the 1080 650$ - 1200$ Titan-X pricetags.

They're just waiting AMD first move imo.

There is another rumor suggesting that this will not be a 1080Ti and Nvidia will do a refresh alla GTX 7xx cards. So this could be a 1180 (52 clusters)with a TXP black and a 1180Ti (60 clusters) all based on GP102.

I don't know, the gap 9-11 TFlops isn't that big to place a new lineup.

The Pascal cards are still killing everything out there.

My guess is pricetag starting at 750$, around what 980-ti was.

they will do a GP1xx refresh on 14nm next year, this 1080Ti could very well be that.. Well would be interesting if it were.

Or maybe its going to be this 1080ti in January and then in summer a full GP102 chip with all SMX enabled.

I see, thanks!
1080-Ti in January seems legit to me, but if it's the case, i don't see them putting any other card in the following 6months.

True, well unless that big Vega with 12tflop forces them to.

You are mistaken. The TXP is 56 of 60 clusters.

What I was understanding was that is was still 16nm. Think 7xx series cards. This looks to mirror the Kepler release model not the Maxwell.

Look If I can get a 52 cluster GP102 with 12GB of GDDR5x in January for ~$650, I'll take it.

Yah I'm getting tired of the SLI issues and really thinking it might just be best to sell both these 1080 cards and get a single 1080 Ti.

Gonna wait for benchmarks and stuff before I make any decision though.

I'll do the same. If only SLI worked we wouldn't have to upgrade each time to the latest single GPU card. Previously I could skip a generation and go SLI.

You're doing the right thing. I got rid of SLI last spring and I'm glad I did since everything is working properly now. I never have to pull my hair when SLI once again doesn't work upon release of my new favorite game or have to spend hours trying to find fixes or hacks to make SLI work a little bit but with flashing textures or weird spikes or something else.

SLI can go to hell. Tired of it as well.

I went to a single 980TI and have been so much happier.. especially since I tend to be playing several games that dont really support SLI too well if at all.. (games in pre-beta, or alpha especially)

I cannot WAIT to get the 1080TI. Ever since I upgraded my display to the Predator x34 I've wanted to pin it out at its 100hz refresh, but just hasn't happened with a single 980TI in most games I've been playing. The 1080TI may not be able to pin out every game at 100 either, but it will be a hell of a lot closer, and also grant way less heat output with higher clocks.

I'm very stoked. Its the way to go for a potent non-sli setup.

We all knew the 1080ti would come out and it'll be a slightly cheaper Titan X and I'm hoping I'll be able to afford this with just my tax return.

Interesting though 12gbs of vram do you think it'll run outta mem on 4k before the gpu reaches it's limit?.

I'm more looking at 1440p performance personally, but in certain circumstances I think the 4GB of the 980s will become a problem soon. Like modded GTA5 does already have it's troubles with VRAM usage, although performance in general isn't bad at all on my rig.

I just hope they release waterblocks quickly too, and this time I don't think I'll go with Asus's card.

Which brings me to the questions: Will there be custom models? If so, which one would you get? Will it pay off to wait a month or two until there's maybe better models from the manufacturers with better power delivery? What do you guys think?

Sorry to burst the bubble guys , but Nviadia is not going to charge less than $999.00 dollars for the 1080ti. Here you go 599 to 699 for the 1080, 999 for the 1080ti and 1299 for the titan.

Sorry to burst yours, more like 750$ at best by release.. It will go down after that.. Think of 980ti pricing by release.
