Well, I've taken a break from folding but am looking to get back into it. What's the current best ppd/ per watt card out there? I've seen the 970 seems to get a lot of reviews. Thanks for any info that you guys have. Also if there are any cards that are about to be released (next 6 months) that would potentially be more efficient please let me know as well. Thanks!

The 970 is king right now if you're looking for price/performance/watt. Obviously, 980, 980Ti and TitanX are faster but also priced higher. For Folding, you're better off with a 970. Mine has been running 200-300K PPD clocked at 1452.

gotcha, that's what I was looking for is a solid budget performer. thanks.

Picked up 2 evga 970 ftw's, I don't think I'll have the cpu fold so the heat shouldn't be bad.

if I had the funds available for a second 970, I wouldn't be folding on my CPU either.

Was FAH spitting out that error message? Either way, downloading that GPUs list might do the trick for you.

Edit: Woops, I didn't check the other thread first. I now see you've already seen it. No joy, I take it?
