Quote:
The director of the famous The Legend of Zelda series starts up his speech, talking about the evolution of the gameplay and perspective, as well as the difficulty of creating a large explorable world in 3D.

He then shows an impressive shot of the new Legend of Zelda world, and a grand sweeping segment of Link riding Epona through the land and dodging enemies. Finally Link shows off his archery skills (and new magic arrows) and slays the foes after jumping off his ride.

Yea in what universe to do you live in? That was in game graphics 100% it is the same graphical style as Skyward Sword with obviously more detail as its on a more powerful system.

I live in a universe where I do not believe anything. But yes I know it was in-game and I am amazed how good it looks it is awesome beyond awesome. Skyward Sword looks nice on my wii u but this is something else!

The animation of that monster reminded me of Ghibli movies for real so good really good, I love how nintendo is bringing awesome to the table.

Hello to everyone in the Zelda Community. I am currently visiting Los Angeles in the United States. This year’s E3 has begun! Did you already have a chance to watch the Nintendo Digital Event that aired yesterday? Many people from the media kept asking me if the footage from the new Zelda game for Wii U is just a promotional movie, but that really is actual gameplay on Wii U. Also, I wasn’t kidding about how you will be able to reach the mountains that appear in the distance if you should choose to! I also got to talk about Hyrule Warriors on Nintendo Treehouse Live at E3 on the live internet show from E3 with Mr. Hayashi from Tecmo Koei Games. If you’re interested in hearing what we talked about, the videos will be posted soon so please check them out!

Impressive for the hardware it's on. It's a shame with such a small install base many gamers will miss this one.

Man I can't wait for this title.

WiiU is shaping up to me one of my fave consoles ever, regardless of the lack of games. what we're getting is quality, this is the icing on the cake if it delivers.

You can say that again. Ill be investing in a wii u this year hopefully. The other 2 consoles dont have anything or enough coming out this year as far a exclusives go to make it worth while purchasing this year.

Nintendo.

As far as exclusives go Nintendo has by far the best lineup IMO, if the Wii U had 3rd party support it would be a total beast. PC + Wii U is the best combo in my eyes.

Looking awesome, and a little reminder about that Starfox game.

Wii-U got some good stuff coming in 2015.

MOTHER-OF-GOD

This has the potential to be epic

Because of the hardware limitations, what we always had to do was segment off each area and piece those segments together in a way that made them feel like a big world. But now with the hardware capabilities of the Wii U, what we did is we first started by saying, 'Let's see what we can do if we take an entire world the size of the world from Twilight Princess and just try to make that as one area in the game."

The Wii U now that it's on a roll with games has made me stop caring about PC gaming and all the redundant, recycled, and tiring formulas of PC AAA games (which are just usually just bad and buggy ports of Xbone/PS4 games). I had big plans to upgrade my PC but I'm seriously falling in love with the Wii U and collecting physical copies of games again and caring less about my PC hardware.

This new Zelda game and the details emerging are just one of many reasons.. The current line up of games is the major other reason. I'm actually having fun gaming again and not raging in frustration with buggy ports and tired boring formulas. Hi-res textures and a dump truck of shaders don't make a game fun.. Original ideas do..

Yeah, nintendo is great clean fun. Zero bollocks and you can just focus on the game without the added stress like trying to get it to work, xxx.dll is missing please re-install the universe and viz runtime files, no buying a game and then using 1000 mods to try and justify your purchase of open-world favors and delivery jobs. Though, i guess that can be avoided on the pc, but its difficult imo.

I seriously think thats what i need right now, just a simple console and a game to pop in the thing and then just play. I miss only having 1 - 3 games a year instead of thousands that i for some reason feel i shouldnt miss.

The wii-u and its games just look sooo fun. I think i might pick one up next year with my student loan

With Zelda looking like it's going to be somewhat amazing all I need to hear now is that they're releasing a new F-Zero game for the Wii U and I think I would walk right out and buy one. Does seem like Nintendo are finally getting stuff done.
