The official Crash Bandicoot website, owned and operated by Activison, is down. And all references to the franchise have been removed from Activision.com

The official Crash Bandicoot website, owned and operated by Activision, has been taken down. The latest archived version of the site is from this past summer, when rumors of a Sony acquisition of the franchise started popping up.

Additionally, the Crash Bandicoot brand has been completely removed from Activision's main website, and any search through their homepage no longer yields any results. Previously, links to their licensed Crash games were available. Also, their support pages no longer offer support for Crash: Mind Over Mutant (the last game released), or their iOS kart racers.

I loved Crash Bandicoot back in the days, back then even my sister was a gamer.

I almost want to get a PS1 again to play the old ones.

Hmmm. Would be cool if Sony bought the ip. Never seemed right seeing Crash on other systems.

Furthermore, I'd love to see Crash back to it's roots.

There's a cryengine2 mod someone was making with crash returning to the old roots of the game

Ah here it is: http://www.computerandvideogames.com...s-cryengine-2/

Nice glimpse of what it would look like

They would need some great talent to update the playing mechanics.

You can't just slap it in a new engine.
