Hehe, better change that, seeing as it's going to a porn site now.

Updated, it's .org now, not .com

maybe add songbird to the list. its a pretty new(version 0.2 now) media player, and its supposed to be "the firefox of media players" as its also built from Mozilla.
i like it, i have been looking for something with the ease of use of itunes, but that could play vorbis. this does that, and a few things more

Really late reply, but people might find this handy...
I've found Partimage (http://www.partimage.org) to work quite well for disk imaging, and it's included with SystemRescueCD (http://www.sysresccd.org). Here at work, I boot from SystemRescueCD, resize the partition I'm going to image using GParted to be smaller than the smallest HDD I'll ever use it on, and use Partimage to copy the partition on the network. Then to restore, I just boot from the CD, use Partimage to copy the image back, and use GParted to resize the partition to the full space of the disc again. It takes about 5 minutes to restore our standard Win2K image (Win2k+Office2k+misc updates) from over the network. Partimage works well for straight disk to disk cloning as well, if you don't want to put the images on a server. You'll still need to use GParted (or similar) for resizing, though.

while they dont make the programs themselvesi tink portableapps.com deserves a mention here. they adapt existing open source programs for use from a usb stick, so that you can use them on pretty much every computer.

Could we get a Programs Dock (or similar name) section?

It'd include:

Object Dock - http://www.stardock.com/products/objectdock/
Y'z Dock - http://oxyx.oxygen-inc.com/

Anyone agree with me or have additions?

Finchwizard the anti-spyware links needs to be updated.

spywareguard -- http://www.wilderssecurity.net/spywareguard.html link is dead, but the original link from javacoolsoftware still works -- http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareguard.html

dietk -- http://www.dietk.com (whatever that was) is redirecting to Bit Che -- http://www.convivea.com/welcome.php which is some kind of bit torrent search tool.

Im not sure about "Bazooka Adware". It is apparently a memory scanner and it do not remove any malware it finds, it will open a web page with removal instructions that's all.
Quote:
http://www.kephyr.com/spywarescanner/faq.html
How do I remove the unwanted application that Bazooka detects?

When Bazooka has finished scanning, all potentially unwanted applications will be reported with white underlined links to the right of the scan button. Press these white links and a web browser with uninstall instructions will open.

Well i would say the most that does not use a lot of resources for me is Object Dock. Though the 2 most used are Rocket Dock and Object Dock.

Omg I completely didn't notice this post and I'm so sorry! I would consider RocketDock the easiest to use, the most functional, and the most customizable. I'd recommend it hands down as the best choice.
