New update just out version 1.2.0

Version 1.2.0

•Various fixes to improve the gameplay experience
•Players will be able to experience the game in one of nine audio languages [Japanese, English, French (France), French (Canada), German, Spanish (Spain), Spanish (Latin America), Italian and Russian], with a different language used for on-screen text by downloading a free software update. To enable this feature in the Wii U version of the game, players will need to download a Voice Pack from Nintendo eShop.
This patch is available for both Switch and Wii U players.

Breath of the Wild’s first DLC

Quote:
  • The Trial of the Sword: A certain, sacred location will allow you to take on this trial where an onslaught of enemies will challenge Link, who starts the trial without equipment or weapons. After clearing approximately 45 rooms the “true power” of the Master Sword will awaken.
  • Hero’s Path Mode: This new map feature will show you where Link has walked over the past 200 hours of gameplay. Use this to find where you spend the most time… and where you haven’t explored at all! See the feature in action on the official site.
  • Hard Mode: Enemies gradually regain health, and are already powered up by one level from the start of the game. You may even find enemies and treasure chests in the sky.
  • The Travel Medallion: Find the chest containing this medallion, and you can register any current position as a fast travel point. (Only one custom travel point is allowed at a time.)
  • The Korok Mask: Still hunting down the 900(!) Korok seeds spread throughout Hyrule? If the task feels impossible, hunt this mask down. When Link wears it, it will shake when he’s close to a Korok location.
  • New armor: Finally, hints in the overworld will lead you to eight new treasure chests that contain the pieces of two new armor sets — Phantom Armor and Tingle’s Outfit — as well as Majora’s Mask and Midna’s Helmet.

phantom armor looks good, tingle's outfit seems good if you want to jump from a mountain and kill yourself.

The first DLC does not excite me...I know it couldn't be a full new adventure but I thought it would be something more story oriented. The masks and armors are small stuff that I don't really care about.

Got my switch a couple days ago, totally hooked on Zelda now.

Think I'm getting way ahead of myself exploring, enemies are one hitting me and I just found a shine with a trial called A Major Test of Strength. Got my ass handed to me.

Beat the Major test of strength today, was quite easy actually. I spammed it with ice arrows and a thunder blade. Got my full climbing gear outfit now!

I Just finished Zelda BOTW and i enjoyed the game. This Game is indeed a console selling Title.Map is huge i think huge than The Witcher 3.For me its 2nd best RPG after Witcher 3.Because its has some flaws.Maybe i played on PC emulator thats why.Game runs slow,Crashes a lot,And memory cutscene not visible still need a fix for this.

Some game machenics are too Lame. For example Horse riding.OMG its irritate me so much that i prefer on foot rather than ride on horse.Horse stucks everywhere little stone, big stones,Trees.Means horse cant get through tiny little stones they stop horse.I dont know if its emulator fault or its in game.

I gave 9/10 score.

And forgot to mention one last thing Side missions dont give objective mark that where is objective you have to find urself.Thats why i done very few side missions

One thing I am not too pleased about, and it's more Nintendo than it is the game itself but I just picked up a Switch and BOTW. I can't transfer the hours of the game I have on my Wii U version to the Switch version...

Nintendo is stuck in 1985 with a lot of stuff like that. That really sucks.

Does this game get less involved? I didn't care for the little bit I played. Needing to hunt boar and cook food to be able to walk in cold weather just really annoyed me. I'm not trying to emulate life when playing a video game....especially not such mundane tasks as that. I miss when you just went into a shop, bought and equipped what you needed and moved on.

Does the game continue to be that detailed throughout?

Well, you can just go into a shop, buy and equip a whole set of cold weather resistant gear

See, I didn't even run into a single shop when I gave it a quick try. I appreciate the link. I may give this a true, fair shot now. I read too many good things about it. It's between this and Witcher 3 right now. I like to play one game at a time. Comics have been in a rut, I have a lot of free time after work right now to sink my teeth into something that requires a good amount of attention.
