TITLE: ATI Fire GL (tm) X1 Video BIOS and EFI Flash Utility

    VERSION: 113-99002-113 Rev. A
    DESCRIPTION:
This contains the ATI Fire GL X1 Video BIOS and EFI Flash Utility for the workstation models listed
below. This corrects an issue where there is a 15 to 20 second blank out (monitor losing synch) and associated boot delay between the Windows XP color splash screen and the Desktop login. This SoftPaq contains an EFI bootable ISO image with the supported video BIOS, EFI flash utility and .nsh batch script.

    PURPOSE: Routine Release
    SOFTPAQ NUMBER: SP24682
    EFFECTIVE DATE: June 16, 2003
    CATEGORY: Graphics
    SSM SUPPORTED: No

    PREREQUISITES:
    N/A

    HOW TO USE:
    1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive. The file downloaded is a zip compressed file that will extract to a 25MB ISO image that can be burned on a CD and booted in EFI.
    2. Burn the extracted ISO image onto a CD using a CD burner.
    3. Insert the EFI bootable CD you just burned in the previous step into the ROM drive of the IPF system with the Fire GL X1.
    4. Boot to the EFI shell and change directory to the CDROM filesystem (Usually the last 'fs#:' - for example, 'fs2:' - on zx2000 or 'fs0:' on the zx6000).
    5. If you type the command 'dir' you should see a script file called 'flashx1.nsh'. Otherwise, try switching to another drive until you locate it.
    6. Once you locate the filesystem with the 'flashx1.nsh' file, go ahead and run it by typing 'flashx1<enter>'.
    7. Once the video BIOS update is complete, reboot the system {you can do a soft reboot by typing the command 'reset'}.
