Stop Blaming R/t For Bf2142

Default Fixes for bf2142 freezing *read before posting*
I clan member of mine (L1ONO)found that this worked for him:
"Some of you have had this problem of not being able to load the game like me. I have a solution. Apparently other people have had the same issue. Windows auto update seems to be the culprit!!!!!!!!!!!!
The MS updates that were installed directly prior to my game not working were: KB929123, KB935840, KB890830, KB935839, & KB933566. If you are not familiar with deleting this then follow these instructions:
Go to Control Panel> Add Remove Programs> check the box on top that says "show updates"> delete these updates> restart.
Removing these updates alone will not be all you need to do. Start BF2142> go to options> video> change a video setting that states that optimizers will need to be rendered or something or other.Or you can go to >my documents and erase the bf2142 folder just make sure you remember you password.This will reset your profile & settings"
You should be able to load all the way through after you restart the game. "

Are you talking about Vista, or XP?? I have a fully patched version of both OS's, and have no problems loading or playing BF2142, unless Rivatuner is installed.

Even a clean install with no patches works fine as long as Rivatuner is not installed.

Are you saying that Rivatuner and some of the MS updates conflict??

 

Yeah umm he lost me to. R/T (road and track, real time, red tie, rock tumbler)? All in good fun, I think he is trying to help but with what? hehe, riddle me this batman.
