A legend lost. If you don't know who Muhammed Ali was, you owe it yourself to learn a bit about the greatest of all time. Cassius Clay was a truly phenomenal person with an unparalleled wit. He lead a fascinating life. He'll probably make another come back anyways. Link: BBC Story - Boxing legend Muhammad Ali dies aged 74 This video does a quick flyby of who Ali was:
I remember watching all his fights as a kid. I hated him as a boxer because he was such a showboat. He was greatest entertainer in boxing history as well as one of the best boxers there ever was. He was greatly missed when he retired. Boxing has no personality now. RIP imshallah
"Float like a butterfly. Sting like a bee" - that´s the perfect description of a fighter if you know what i mean. RIP big boss
I remember watching him and felt the same way and at the same time marveled at the hand speed the guy had for a heavyweight. No denying he was good for boxing as a whole and it has never been the same since he retired. RIP champ. (Spent a lot of time up in Midland/Penatang back in the day so hey from old Ontario boy lol)
And when his legs were gone and he could no longer float like a butterfly, along comes mirage and rope-a-dope to save the day. RIP Muhammed Ali
I remember from my soviet union childhood that older men had respect for Ali and for Teofilo Stevenson.
