Witcher 3 & PCars improvements for the 15.200 driver

Hey guys anyone with pcars (dx11 only) or witcher 3 cfx and the 15.20.xxx.x driver installed can use this package to get the benefits from the 15.5 driver.
Remember for witcher 3 cfx to disable ingame AA and be sure to have fullscreen enabled in the game options.

Download this package and extract the files in the directory of the game where the game exe resides, remove any previous profiles you have made in ccc for any of these 2 games just to be sure.

So i just copy over to the games folder to get the benifits?

 

Copy them where the game .exe resides.

 

I do not have PCARS but I'll try with Witcher 3 and 290X CFX.

No way Steam bans for adding these files in the Witcher 3's root directory, right?

Root directory or where the .exe is? In the later case then:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\The Witcher 3\bin\x64

Right?

 

They are legit driver DLLs that the game loads from that location instead of the Windows driver store. I don't believe that they are bannable, as they are not cracks. That's just a belief though, keep in mind

Wait, do these need to be used with the 15.200 driver from May 5th "AllCards MOD"?

I was trying with 15.5. /Facepalm.

 

Awesome will save me the hassle of installing the new driver. Now i can test before upgrading this is awesome. let's hope it works.

 

As long as the driver dll supports your hardware, it will work. This method is ingrained on the way Windows works. If a program requires a dll, and that dll resides in the same folder as the program, then that dll will be loaded in priority to any dll in the system's PATH (Which is usually locations such as C:\Windows\System32 etc).

That's how SweetFX works, by putting the d3d9.dll or the dxgi.dll that the program will request, in the program's folder, so that the program loads the SweetFX "version" of the library, instead of the system "version".

Is CrossfireX supposed to work on Witcher 3? If so, it ain't working here.

15.200 drivers + those .DLL's. I didn't notice any change.

 

u sure running in full screen and not borderless?

 

I was indeed in Borderless mode.

CrossfireX works and I'm having steady 60fps (I cap it in all games)!

kcuestag, how is performance better with those drivers that you have better than lets say15.4? I mean I read the topics but all is there to see is everyone talking them drawcalls ;d

right now im running 15.5 but wondering should I change to your driver and then apply asder's fix.

 

I must say in project cars my frametime is a lot lower. While It can do better it's way better than before

To be fair I can't compare because I never tried the game without CFX, I was waiting for CFX to work before I played it.

EDIT:

Tested it, scaling is great, but every 3 seconds or so I get a stutter. Oh well, drivers for windows 10 modded for windows 8.1, with dll's of a different driver: a lot of things that are not supposed to be :infinity:

Oh well, further improvements will probably be made. A good first cf profile
