It just amazes me that people will risk components by buying cheap crappy power supplies.OOh it says 700 watts and only 30 bucks cool.

Well it's an awesome way to learn first hand what a crap PSU can do to your rig.
Happened to me back when I was a lot younger and knew zilch about PC hardware.
I was glad to find a good deal on a 400W Deer -only $30!! lol (If you know about Deer they rank at the bottom of the bottomost tier).
Anyway, my cheap $30 Deer PSU killed 2 very expensive $250 Seagate Barracuda's before I learned my lesson...(short from the molex plug).
But I learned it well and so might he...lol

That's all well and good but if someone is on the forums and is researching a build there is a million power supply threads on here and uh everywhere. And to the op thanks for confirming you do what you want so I don't feel bad about my response one bit.

Also if you get a cheap PSU,
It could cause random shutdowns of
your computer due to the lack of proper
wattage.

Well,if he doesn"t want to take any advice then let him find out the hard way that a PSU is one of the most important parts of a system.I know i found out the hard way years ago when buying a cheap 30E psu, giving me random lock ups, alot of blue screens, and in the end destroyed Both my gpu's.
if someone gives you advice and warns you that a cheap psu is something you should be really carefull with..you better take it instead of backmouthing.
