Are you guys also not receiving any work units for the past week? I have folding installed on 2 pc's but none of them is receiving any work.. Not the cpu or gpu console versions....

The one is at work and the other at home so it can't be any firewall setting or the likes... :biggun:

AFAIK, there aren't any problems with any Servers. However, since the last 15 hours, I can't get GPU2 WUs and have posted it on the official Forum and am still awaiting any reply. In the mean time, I have changed to the GPU3 BETA Client until I know what is going on with the Servers.
I do know that there are 5 people that have problems with the Server but they are for -bigadv and not Classic Clients, Sever is 171.67.108.22
Maybe changing the Machine ID will allow you to get new WUs.

    Thanks guys.
But my problem is still there. Last night i completely removed the client and reinstalled it with no luck. After that i uninstalled it again and downloaded the high performance client but the same problem persists.

Anybody know what else I can try?

What it does is it "hangs/freezes" at the Loaded Queue Successfully command line.....
Any ideas are welcome, i'm desperate to get it up and working again...

Please post your FAHLog here by using the Code button. Have you changed anything on your system which causes this problem?

    Hi. Thanks for the reply.
I will get the log tonight when i'm at home....

I've done windows updates including .net3 and 4 updates and directx and ati driver updates in the last 2 weeks. If that is related i'm not sure. I guess the new .net4 installation could have made a difference since i think the console clients makes use of that?????

It's a Win7 system btw with the specs on the left...:biggun:

The console Clients are the easiest to setup as they don't require any installation. You unzip the file in a folder and run the .exe from there. It will ask you some configuration settings and once you answer it, I will automatically start processing the WU. I have Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Client Profile installed and I don't have problems with my GPU2, GPU3 and SMP2 Clients running. What Clients are giving problems on your system?

Your problem with the GPU Client is that you are trying to run the XP version on Windows 7 which won't work. Download the correct version and give it a try.

For the CPU Client, try using -advmethods flag and hopefully you will be assigned a WU.

EDIT - For adding flags, refer to this: http://fahwiki.net/index.php/How_do_I_add_flags_using_a_shortcut_to_the_console_client? you can ignore the other flags shown and only use -advmethods. The FAHLog should appear like this:
    Code:
    Launch directory: D:\F@H GPU3
    Executable: D:\F@H GPU3\Folding@home-Win32-GPU.exe
    Arguments: -advmethods -verbosity 9

Ok i switched over to this client for the gpu - Folding@home-Win32-GPU_Vista-623
    But the problem still persists.

I have two cpu clients installed and it's up and running. :) However the points are so little on the cpu clients, i would love to get the gpu working again.. :p

I guess that you need the following flags as your GPU is an ATI one (from your sig):
    -verbosity 9 -forcegpu ati_r700
Hopefully, that will cause it to work. You may also need to configure the Environment Variables (<Click>) to make the GPU Folding more efficient.

An alternate way is that you can install the GPU3 BETA Client Console Version (<Click>) and hopefully, it will start working easily and you just have to use this flag:
    -verbosity 9
Even with this Client, you may want to use the Environment Variables (<Click>) to make the GPU Folding more efficient.

    Thanks Panther!
The gpu started folding after I added -forcegpu ati_r700
It's strange since i never added any flags before..
I'm just happy it's up and running again.. :)
