I've been reading reviews on a few this is to go under the TV in my bedroom, streaming MKVs via Gigabit I've looked at the WD TV but the ethernet port apparently maxes out at 10MB/s which is pretty poor and not enough bandwidth for a large MKV Anyone have any suggestions? I could build a mini-itx one but wanted to look at all in ones first thanks
To be honest, with fully built mini-ITX one's costing around $250 these days vs. $200 for the media hubs, it is far better to go for a mini-ITX. If you only plan on streaming and not storing the stuff locally, then I suggest you look at some of the review sites for the media hubs. I personally have several Argosy 335Ts, neat little things but limited in capability.
think i'll go for one of these, the company seems to have a good reputation and i think it should be much better than the Western Digital ones http://www.my-htpc.co.uk/shop/article_79-001/Dune-HD-TV-301.html?sessid=5Q9xBYKiUj4jbeHLuXv0eXtd5yDxHO4OIQMdomR4byUUGqNJFpuuIgDjUmC2aCAS&shop_param=cid%3D7%26aid%3D79-001%26
Mini ITX and Asus passively cooled GT 520 (GTX 560 or better if you want LAV CUVID deinterlacing with the madVR renderer).
