I recently purchased a new computer Everything was working fine until today when I loaded up crysis 64 bit. The game will launch but when i try to shoot my weapon it freezes, I can still hear the audio though. The exact same thing happens in grand theft auto 4, the game will load, and I can play it but it freeze when I try to shoot a weapon, and I can still hear audio. Half life 2 plays fine, those are the only games I have so I cant provide a more detailed error list. I am running the latest nvidia drivers as of today. I am not doing any overclocking what so ever. Using gpu-z the cards temps are around 54 Celsius when it crashes. my set up: ausus p8 p67 deluxe intel i7 2600k (stock settings) with good temps going no higher than 50 C on full load corsair H70 cooler corsair dominator gt 1866 8GB corsair ax 850W powersupply Palit GTX 580 (stock settings) advice please z
aaaaaaaah, that sounded so promising but thats not it mate, i have the latest version installed. also this problem just started today, i have been shooting away for days before this. really annoying, getting crysis withdrawal symptoms, need to fix this asap
in crysis i had the exact same problem.. everytime i tryed to shoot my pc was freezing all the way for like 4/5 seconds "not crashing". try to change driver or.. bring down the crysis console. with the keyboard button under ESC. i dont remember the name type con_restricted 0 then after that put sys_physics_cpu command. there are many settings 0 is by default for single/dual core cpu and sometimes can cause this problem try 1/2/3 or 4 and see if any of these still causes you "freezes" if so try to change drivers.. crysis is a bad girl. whining for everything
thanks for the advice but im RMA ing the card, i dont wanna have to fiddle around with stupid settings, and i dont wanna play the 32 bit version when i just spent thousands of dollars on a new 64 beast! also forgetting crysis, its happening in gta 4 aswell, in exactly the same way. i dont wanna have to tone thing down and change some console settings on every game i play.
sorry dood im an absolute rookie so your gonna have to elaborate, so ur saying i need to overclock for the stock ram speed of 1866 to be stable?
