Have you ever killed any camera gear?

I cracked the rear LCD screen on my Canon 6D on a trip to Iceland.

After jumping over rocks, skidding on ice, walking across a glacier it ended up falling, inside my bag in a carpark.

The bag landed upside down. There was a hard plastic component on my strap which I think was between the camera and the top of the bag.

Youtube clips suggested it was a repair I could do with a hair dryer to heat the glue so long as I could get the parts but I ended up opting for Canon to fix. $36 worth of parts and $150 worth of labour.

 

Prob something nobody wants to admit... Make a nice picture of the sea... trip... fallover.. camera tumbles over into the water *tears*

 

Ouch!
