Dunno if anyone's seen this yet but Nvidia have recalled certain versions of the shield tablet due to a defective battery that could overheat and go on fire!!! my brother had to fill out a form today, Nvidia are sending out new sheilds to those affected free of charge, once you receive a replacement nvidia will remotely disable the old one and then you have to send it back to nvidia for disposal. there's an article about it on forbes http://fortune.com/2015/07/31/nvidia-shield-tablets-recall/
