Hi guys. I've tried to patch fire gl t2 mobility drivers (ver 7.93). The pathc scripts seems to work for the drivers. But when I install the pathed ones, my laptop screen turns desesperately balck after reboot. Has somebody ever turned a mobility radeon 9600 to a mobility fire gl T2 ?
i have the same problem. but i find if i use driver ver 7.88 , it works on the second monitor . the second monitor shows FireGL T2 , and i can use CAD software well and quickly. but on my LCD, only black screen shows. my notebook is ASUS M6000N. is it because of my 16:10 15.4" wide screen?
Where could I find driver ver 7.88 for mobility ? I found only 7.93 and 7.96 for mobility and it didn't work, even on the second monitor. Thanks
These are not mobility drivers. That's why I suppose your lcd turns black when you install these drivers. I think we need to find 7.88 mobility fire gl t2. I continue my investigations.
but i tried driver v7.93 from ibm: http://www-306.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-53813 the result is the same : second monitor is FireGL T2, LCD is black.....
What drivers should I choose during install ? FireGL T2 or 9600@FireGL T2 ? Do you know what the "secondary" labelled drivers means ? Thanks.
I can't say exactly because i haven't a mobility 9600. I suppose you have to choose the second one...9600@FireGL T2. No i don't know.sorry. Greetz.
Have somebody tried these drivers with a mobility radeon 9600 ? I'd like to know if it had ever worked with such a GPU. Thanks

Just installed my mobility 9600 (Dell inspirion 8600) as "Mobility FreeFireGL T2 (0x4E50) (w/smart), but unfortunatelly i dont get any FireGL Tabs What im doing wrong?
this one: http://www.hardwarelab.ru/files/FreeFireGL_8x00.exe and just got the Fgl panel to work! It's a extra install, downloadable from ati.com. patched with rivatuner.
finaly i go my mobile 9600 into a FireGL T2 with all firegl panels enabled and working! i did this: get http://www.hardwarelab.ru/files/FreeFireGL_8x00.exe extract it and open each dll in hexeditor, search vor DEV_ and replace the following Device ID with 4E50. If some dlls dont contain DEV_ leave it untouched. Finaly install the card as Mobility FreeFireGL T2 (0x4E54)
