Not really, I think if you invest in hardware with the belief that it'll be the fastest thing on the planet for years to come then you've got the wrong hobby
Hmm so NVIDIA did exactly what I predicted last year... http://forums.guru3d.com/showpost.php?p=5376369&postcount=178
Still will gladly stick to my plans and get a 1080Ti. 7% more cuda cores (and practically useless) 1GB more of VRAM doesn't really work for me to pay over 40% more
Nah, not pissed. Just surprised it was sooner rather than later. Still, the current XPs are performing insanely well, so hey ho.
I might buy one of these. I'm tired of waiting for the aftermarket GTX 1080 Tis to become available (they're always sold out) and the Zotac Amp Extreme edition that I always buy isn't even for sale yet. Buying one of these cards isn't as bad investment an investment as you'd think. Assuming you take good care of it, it will hold most of its value when it comes time to sell it. The only thing is the high initial cost.
Bought one from Nvidia today on next day delivery. Sounds like it will be a little faster for my 4k Lcd system for games compared to the XP it's replacing. 4k Rig i7 6700 3.4ghz || Titan Xp (on order) || Win 10 Home || ASRock H110M-DGS || DDR4 16gb Crucial Toshiba HD 1tb || Cooler Master 750W || Onboard Sound || 32" Samsung 4k 3840 x 2160
Sorry for OT, but... @MikeG that signature "Nvidia Titan Xp (not XP)"... that made me laugh, seriously
Hehe, well if you live in the U.S, I can give you a really good deal on a Zotac GTX 1080 Amp Extreme Seriously though, when I woke up this morning, I had no inkling that I would buy a Titan Xp. It was purely an impulse buy, mainly due to how ticked off I am about the fact that I can't buy the GTX 1080 Ti aftermarket model of my choice because it isn't even available yet, and even when it does become available, I bet it will be sold out before I even blink :bang: Plus I always wanted to own a Titan card. And the fact that this one has the full Monty, I don't feel an ounce of buyer's remorse. I estimate about a 50% increase in performance over my current card, and even more after overclocking. That's pretty decent if you ask me for an in generation upgrade.
