Even a clean reinstall did not fix the problem.

As for the second one, the password box eventually shows up, its just very slow to.

I'll probably just wait for the 11th release to try again.

I tried to update from the Update Assistant tool like 3-4 times on two different version and that didn't go. I haven't tried the Media Creation tool as that was going to be my last resort. Tried Release Preview on two occasions and while it said "updating" and needed a reboot, upon reboot it would go back to Windows as if nothing happened.

I don't have the luxury of having unlimited data overseas so I have to hold on the updates lol.

I used the Update Assistant tool on a 1607 VM, all went fine, but looking at it.
I have set my main system to Defer as there is more I don't like than I like. They removed a lot of stuff (yeh I can edit reg to get most but you shouldn't have to do that).

I kinda like microsoft edge. However, it has piss poor html5 compatibility compared to chrome... Probably not worth using just for that.

My password box has been slow to show up for at least 2 months now.

Takes about 15 seconds sometimes after I have hit my login in screen.

How can I remove the "wireless display media view" entry in the start menu without re-initializing the OS with a fresh/clean install?
I know it is related to miracast, but the entry should not appear in the start menu.

well... compared to chrome. i tried edge when win10 came out and i know it played funny with html5 back then and it was also scoring lower in browser benchmarks, when it came to speed. maybe its better now

Also, still very few addons supported. :\

Yeh, got to be way to remove programs in app list like Win7 did.
I looked under user folder but not sure, I see user added programs and MS "packages" but didn't see specific wireless one.

Has anyone with a GCN AMD card tried this yet? Does it say WDDM 2.2 is supported?

I'm wondering because I'm prepared to do a clean install on my AMD laptop but updating drivers on it has been a PITA, so I want the WDDM 2.2 drivers out of the box
