The next catalyst release driver?

Fear not Gizmo I'm an extremely passionate AMD fan just like you and everyone else here. Your suggestions to me do not go unnoticed and i make sure they're heard within AMD. As always, if you have any others please don't hesitate to drop me a pm and let me know.

 

I am waiting to upgrade for very long time, R9-290x was not good enough upgrade for me, but very close.
GTX 970/980 were just enough, but there were some reports (benchmarks of games) showing it's not all that green. Then I found nice comparison videos.

While ti leads in general, its fps goes down in heavy scenes below 780Ti performance and in some cases even below 290x.
And actually such scenes are critical for multiplayer, because I do not want to have bad performance every time stuff starts blowing up or some massive lighting/distortion effects are used.

And considering 970 is 12% below 980, it fell for me into same insufficient category as 290x.

 

Maybe off the topic but u might need to change ur processor because of course it will bottleneck.

 

Doub't we'll see a new driver anytime soon tbh, as the 9 series from Nvidia are tearing them a new one, drivers are the least of their problems at the moment, unfortunately.

Yeah on hold at the moment, don't know what im going to do at present.

Let's just hope these drivers deliver. I don't want to fall back to the 14.4's yet again.
