Hi there.

I have been done some OC on processors for some time now, but never on video cards. My GF time is now up.

I have been adding the lasagna cooler and are now ready to give it a go. I have been reading on other fellow overclockers that they have reached 160 / 340 and even more. For me it have only be possible to reach 135/335. That is all.

Next step is that I have now downloaded the Riva Tuner and are ready to go.

What I am looking for is a few hints guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cheers
about RivaTuner, i don't use it...
but in overclocking there are only 2 rules...

1. look/monitor at your temperature of the thing your overclocking (GeForce should be able to do 60-70°Celsius)
2. Look at the system stability, if your applications/games aren't stable/smooth running any more (fluctuations of framerates & stuff)

if you keep yourself to those 2 simple rules, yuo can clock as high as you like...

hints :
1. don't raise your clock too high @ once, take it 2 mhz at the time or something...
2. a good cooler really helps more then your standart GeForce cooler (Blue orbb is supposed to be really good, lot's of ppl' are using them)

Cheers I appreciate it. But to me it seems funny that I can ONLY reach 135/335 when others with exately the same card can go 160/340 and even more...

Thanks anyway..
or does your screen goes black if you go higher ?
I have 2 3D Prophet DDR-DVI cards and one gets 135/345 while the other gets 155/335. Not all chips are identical. You may not be able to get more than you are no mater how much you cool the card. At some point it is no longer a heat issue, but simple an issue with impurities in the chip. If you could voltage mod the card you might get some more out of it, but that is outside the scope of the average overclocker. As far as the ram on the cards..that is pretty much a product of how good that batch of ram is. Cooling does very little to help boost ram speed, in spite of the trend towards ram heatsinks (mostly marketing hype). You may, just may get a tiny bit more out of your ram with cooling, but I have seen ram heat sinks make zero difference on several occasions.
For the G-Force DDR cards, a good core overclock will still give you some performance boost even if you cant get a good ram overclock. The G-force 2 lines tend to become memory limited pretty fast so ram overclock is more important there than core overclock.

Good luck
