This version have two editions: Standard Edition and Extra E3 2012 Bundle - an extended edition of E3 Lite v2 that includes additional mods which bring back some cool features from that amazing E3 2012 demo.

This mod increases reflections intensity of the wet Asphalt Roads and Sidewalks. It consists of reworked mask textures with Relief Mapping.
This mod can be merged with other big mods (e.g. TheWorse, Lunayah, Marduk, Definitive mod).
Works better when combined with The Silver's Relief Mapping Mod (download here: http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=404493)

    Awesome release man, congratulations.

Just tested and everything feels balanced - lighting, e3 2012 extras, I also liked traffic increase, city feels more alive.

And I mean it feels vanilla, which is good + little smooth touches by you, I kinda felt like it was pre-release build before they delayed the game back in november 2013.
Result is - a job well done :)

Wish we could do something amazing with driving physics, but oh well.

Now we just need the old coat physics back.
But that will probably never happen... :(

I think the strenght of this mod is the lightning and how the effects were used other mods would overdo certain things such as bloom where it would just bleed all over your screen or sunlight would completely blind your vision or reflections so bright that it would look unrealistic.

This mod however is done in such a nice subtle way if you didn't know the game was modded you would think this is the way the game was originally designed.

Well done TXGT ! great effort and a great result thanks alot for v2 it was well worth the wait!

    Thanks man!
I tried to make things look more realistic instead of more cinematic/E3 like.

That's exactly what I think too, and it's the greatest achievement IMHO, really awesome work mate! :)

I have some questions: Does the existence of an upcoming Performance Version means that the current versions includes tweaks that decreases the performance compared to the vanilla game? Or maybe the Performance Version is just for weak computers that already struggle with the vanilla not-maxed-out game? Is the previous Variety Pack entirely compatible with v2 except for the Bloom?

PS: Thanks for the credits and congrats for your release. ;)

Performance versions includes my old performance patch for E3 Lite v1. I made it cause someone reported performance issues. It consists of two files: "defaultrenderconfig.xml" and "defaultengineconfig.xml" which located in "engine" folder inside patch. The "normal" versions of E3 Lite v2 have the same "engine" xmls as my original E3 Lite v1. The only difference is that I disabled "AlphaToCoverage" and "RenderRain" by default, but you still can turn them on manually in your GameProfile.xml.
In short - E3 Lite v2 should perform exactly like my E3 Lite v1.
But if you didn't know (even if I did mention it in my thread and Readme.txt) E3 Lite v1 have increased Level of Detail, Draw Distance, Reflections quality and Shadow quality. Performance versions will only have Level of Detail, Draw Distance and Shadow quality reduced to nearly Vanilla level. I didn't downscale Reflections quality in performance versions.

All mods except for Bloom in my current Variety Pack version are compatible with E3 Lite v2.

Just wanted to let you guys know: I didn't include Increased Parked Cars density mod because with increased Traffic mod alone it's already hard to get through the traffic during police chase.

My thoughts exactly, the change is so subtle, and yet so sweet, that I personally recommend using this mod in first walkthroughs, to get authentic WD expirience, as it was meant to be for release game, without adding E3 2012 concepts stuff, as game progressed from that long time ago.

The only thing missing in my opinion are animations, that older builds had for pistol running/noweapon running and so on. If we only could include them it would be complete package totally :)
Don't think that we can fix that tho, at least to my knowledge.

Great work! It could be a lot better if you have a showcase video.

Is there any way to downtone the depth of field a little? I feel like he's short-sighted at times.

    Could you share your GamerProfile.xml..?
Also which version of the txgt v2 release are you using and did you add any mods..?

Mine just never seems to look that good. :(

He's using Extra E3 2012 Bundle. It includes heavy bokeh DOF from Marduk's Merged mod and E3 2012 Focus animation with special DOF effects (found by Puredorian and fixed by me). He took those screenshots during Focus Mode (aka Slow Mo/Bullet Time) that's why the Rain is looking that good.
You can add both the E3 Focus and Maximum DOF mods to my Standard Edition from the Variety Pack (download links in previous post).

I was thinking that it would be cool also to slightly increase the chance and duration of rainy weather, is this possible to do?
