Well, my x700pro just went out and I am trying to plan on a new card. I had originally thought about picking up a 7600gt on newegg for $89. But i just saw that the 8300gs is only around $79 and the 8300gt around $99. Do you think these will be better than the 7600gt. I ask this because the 7300gs isnt better than the 6600gt. EXCEPT, for new technology. DX 10. So do you guys think that an 8300gt/gs would be a better buy than a 7600gt.

    • 7600GT = 12 shader pipelines, core 560 MHz, memory 1400 MHz, 256 MB, 128-bit
    • 8300GS = 24 shader pipelines, core 500 MHz, memory 1000 MHz, 256 MB, 128-bit
    • 8300GT = 32 shader pipelines, core 500 MHz, memory 1200 MHz, 256 MB, 128-bit

I would recommend waiting for the 8300GT.
