AMD Crimson 16.x (16.300.2201.0 July 7)

Oops I forgot to consider the additional version edit. Unfortunately AMD never seem to release the latest one along with any of their drivers.

 

Seems to be working fine so far whatever these drivers are, some upcoming 16.8 driver with a branch jump for the new Windows 10 update?
(Or possibly just a general branch update now that the 480 GPU is out, I have no idea but as it was WHQL certified it should be fairly stable so I decided to give it a try and well so far it's working as expected. )

 

The updated thread still enables VSR for me. Cool
What is different in this package from normal AMD release of drivers. Because VSR has been MIA for me since the start of 16.3.1.
It fixes what AMD has not fixed up until now.
Do you mind if I file a "Report Issue" with AMD so they can see what you have done and maybe actually fix the VSR issue for everyone else.

I was thinking the same thing...August 2 is the major windows update
so probably we gonna get a driver around there...we will see

Asder Please make this GOOD !
Now im strongly recomend to not install this 'MOD' its not ready for the Majority.
I think it working OK for only R290X ;-)

It shows my R280X (this is only 280X not older 7970 !)
Next Vulcan not installed
Next: BF:4 Mantle Working but with Errors :/
I reverted to 16.7.2

Tell us when you finish polishing reg. entries for this one (i know i will try them when Ready)

sorry cant post links not high enough post count.

slight degrade in score but within error range.

 

vulkan and mantle working fine for me with this driver, tested doom with vulkan and bf4 with mantle.

 

I have some strange artifacts (in Light Shafts, Naval Strike)
But i think this is better driver than 16.7.3 but less Stable and some errors are still in place.
Thats why they don't post it on Radeon WEB page :nerd:

For testing/Hype YES
For Playing Games i reverted to 16.7.2 (Mantle from 16.15.2401.1001-Apr-19)

As for Mantle i think when they release this one it will work for everybody without bugs.
Faster and better, but we need to wait some days 4 proper release.

Sadly FreeSync doesn't work with these drivers so I won't be using them. Sad as I'd love these performance improvements.
