Mothly update and belive also the last update?

It's been two years now I belive.
I cleaned up some files on the drive down to 70% and seeing the same result as Neo Cyrus. There seems to be a significant performance drop if the drive is over 70% full.

Performance comparison from worst month (95%) to this month (70%):
    Read: 412MBs vs 549Mbs = 25% performance loss
    Write: 392MBs vs 504Mbs = 22% performance loss

Since this is the last month i would encourage the other testers to do the same test to see if the performance stay the same above/below 70% to see if it's consisten across all drives.

The past two years my drive have never been formated since the initial installation. The drive have been powered on for a total of 641 days (15400 hours) :)

    Is this the final update?

Much like Steppzor I haven't formatted since getting the drive. Performance has varied from month to month, although that seems to be in line with certain other factors - such as available drive capacity. All in all I've had a great experience with this SSD, it's been consistently fast and very reliable. It's been a pleasure to take part in the test over the past two years!

It is official ! Two years have passed and we have had no SSD failures or massive anomalies. I see a few May entries from some panel members are still missing. Please upload the results.

We'll keep this thread open if you would like to continue posting your results. Congratz and thanks very much you guys for your 2 year dedication !

    Awesome stuff :nerd:

    My final update!

The SSD works just as good as it did the first day, of course performance drops when the drive comes closer to it's full capacity, but that's normal. It was a great journey and I thank Hilbert and (former) OCZ for choosing me for this test group.

If need be, I can of course post other updates from time to time. As things are now, I'll definitely keep this SSD as OS drive for a good while still.

PS - Lifetime dropped to 96 and I still think I'm the Host Writes/Reads king of the test group!

Awesome test.I remember when you guys started this.Although I am not part of the test,I have some old OCZ Solid 3 SSD and they have not let me down over the years, and still are going strong.

They been on for almost 37000 hrs each and that's a little over 4 years of use each.

Man what a deal I got on the OCZ ssd.

Not a single issue here in 2years.

Thank you OCZ and thank you Hilbert. For a super-sweet piece of hw that is still going strong

EDIT: it shows as only 361 GB total,
because 16GB of overprovisioning and 70GB in ext4 partition.

BTW I see that everyone is on Intel.

I've done some benchmark comparison initially, and found no difference. Ms is fine :)

I'm a few days late with my monthly update - extra busy with stuff this past month. In any case, it's now been 2 years of testing and I honestly have to say it does not feel like it's been nearly that long. Thanks to Hilbert and OCZ/Toshiba for having me be part of this test group.

I would definitely go out and buy another of this SSD if I had need of one, it's been excellent for me start to finish. :nerd:

I moved about 100 GB to a different drive, dropping me from 83% to 58% and the benchmark scores benefited nicely. I can't say that I have noticed any slowdown for day to day usage, but that AS SSD score is easily the highest I remember having for quite a number of months.

    May report:

I emptied out some things I'm not currently using to boost performance and it's performing well as one would hope 2 years into its life.

Thanks again to Hilbert and OCZ for doing this. Let me know if we should be posting further reports. Regardless, if anything notable happens I'll post a report then.

down to 95% life left can do a speed test as this drive is now on a different controller that the chip set

4 and half year of running almost 24/7 and down to 91% life left. system its running on is becoming unstable due to overclock also running 24/7 and prob chip degradation (not down to ssd) i can't remember what the write cycles life was rated at

Mine is still going strong as well. It ran as the main OS drive until several months ago when I converted it to a games drive specifically. Either way it's been in a running PC nearly 24/7 since day 1. :)

5 and half year of running almost 24/7 and down to 86% life left. system is now a file server running 24/7 coming close to 100TB host write 45TB reads wonder how much life it will lose over the next year[IMG]
