Well, madVR implented playback of HDR videos now and its wonderfull..
    And Best of all:

While the big companys are all cooking theyr own soup on wich algo is better and telling you that you have to buy a new TV to playback HDR contend, madVR goes the other way and makes HDR contend avaible to all monitors :)

I´ll quote from the new version of madVR:

    INFO:

Well, i dont know about you guys, but that is shure an accomplishment for madshi and his software.

of course i allready tested it and it works quite good in this early stage.

Heres a screenshot, Left is with madvr and REAL HDR Contend and on teh right no madvr with HDR Contend:

I haven't updated MadVR for a while. I recall the last time I tried to update, the new version had some highly annoying feature that made me roll back immediately. Although I can't even remember anymore what it was. I reckon I should try the latest again. Nevertheless, it's an excellent renderer. Hard to go back from it to anything else.

The new upscaling algos are damn fine and the best you can get. NGU (next generation Upscaling)

also DONT FORGET to update to the newest Nightly build of LAVFilters.

    Why?

--> added support for native D3D11 DXVA hardware decoding (needs nightly LAV)
IMPORTANT - DXVA11 Does NOT work with Windows 7

Best renderer out there, long time user. Best results requires tweaking though, which is pretty standard :).

If you have any problems, for NVIDIA USERS use the 385.xx Drivers. They WORK with MadVR without any probs..
