    Hi,

Not sure if anyone cares about EFI updates and CPU Microcode updates, But For anyone that does, I have modded R4BE Bios 0701 with the latest EFI modules.

Intel Raid Rom (Orom/SataDriver) Version 13.2.0.2134
    Microcode for IvyBridge-E Updated
    Intel LAN Orom/EFI updated to v1.5.53 / v6.1.16
Intel ME Firmware 8.1.52.1496 (1.5Mo) (for x79 Chipset)

    Downloads -

    R4BE 0701 BIOS

    R4BE 0801 BIOS

Intel ME Firmware 8.1.52.1496 with Tool.

And if you need help updating the ME Firmware Check this out

**MUST BE FLASHED USING BIOS FLASHBACK METHOD**

Im currently using this bios without any issues, But I haven't tested it on Sandy Bridge-E CPUs, so I cant recommend flashing it if your on a Sandy Bridge-E CPU
    Use at your Own Risk

Credit goes to Win-Raid for the tools.

Edit - New bios 0801 changes - "Enables 128GB(8*16GB) support by IM ( Intelligent Memory ) memory modules"

Well, updated EFI modules can improve and fix issues but I would have to take a look at the change logs to exactly know what was updated. But updated Raid Rom has improved performance issues I was having with my manancial hdds, spinning down and not spinning up again.

And updated Microcode has allowed me to overclock my CPU better than stock version of the same bios, But I'm just a little nerdy and like to have everything up to date! lol.

but I can only speak from experience, as I'm sure some might not notice any difference.

Ill keep this thread up to date whenever new bios/modules are released.

So which of this modded versions will be better for a 4930K OC? 0701 or 0801 beta?

I use bios 5.01 best for overclocking while undervolting, for me anyhow.

I don't use this motherboard anymore, but for me both 0701 and 0801 gave same results when overclocking, they both have the most recent CPU microcode too. so only change is that the 0801 allows for the use of 128gb of ram.

Thanks for the making a R4BE modded BIOS, going to flash now. Is there a more recent OROM you could inject into the BIOS? http://www.win-raid.com/t2f23-Intel-RST-RSTe-Drivers-newest-v-WHQL-v-WHQL.html

    Edit:
The BIOS posts but will not overclock with a SB CPU. If I adjust my settings and save the BIOS sets it will not post.

Can you mod this BIOS to support the SB CPUs? Maybe post a link to a guide?
