    (Played it years ago, seems the first game had a complete overhaul back in 2011 which I only just noticed though they still retained the "quirky" character models.)

    F10 toggles the HUD though on-screen text will still be shown although without the background so it's transparent or what to say and F8 toggles so the camera can be freely rotated.
    (Less so in the second game since it's set underground and I don't think it actually has a skybox so you can't tilt the camera upwards much at all.)

    Amazing Unreal, just incredible.

    May be a silly question, but I've been away for a while from Skyrim and planning to get back into soon, but what mod is being used for the grass?

    That's the look i wanted, like a carpet of grass.

    I know it's too perfect for the lore, but it can be tweaked easily for a wild aspect.

    Personally i think they are ugly, flat, over exposed with borked white balance and color temperature. But it's just me.

    I completely agree. But everyone seems to think they're amazing so I just figure it's me. Kinda bland. I kinda like a more atmospheric Skyrim.

    Outerra Anteworld. Not so much a game but rather a sandbox where you can explore Earth. There's a complete time of day cycle that goes through every day of the year as well. I'm not sure if there are any plans for this to be used for an actual game. I just wanted to screw around in it a bit.

    This was only the prologue (And a small bit of the start of the first mission.) which works as a tutorial so it's very scripted and holds your hand throughout the entire level though it does showcase many of the gameplay mechanics, also it brings out some of the flaws like the often mentioned linearity.
    (Can't say much about the AI, this first storyline mission I'm on now should give a better showcase of how that works though it's still rather scripted.)

    Runs great though it's UE3 and I'm only using low SSAA instead of high although there's a few UE3 tweaks as well.
    (Calling custom key bindings from the ini file seems disabled and many of the commands I couldn't find at all when searching through the main *.U engine file though some references to some exist.)

    EDIT: Yeah some images show the (annoying) QTE or mini-game sequences like picking locks, breaking open windows or other stuff, last couple of screens (Before the two or so last ones showing the first real mission.) also depicts a cutscene, not a fan of how Geralt looks but it works for sneaking around I suppose.

    I've heard reports of the SSAA feature not working (no difference in IQ or performance turning it to high).

    It's the standard 2-day trial (2$ ) VPNSecureMe, there are free alternatives as well but it's a bit more work although that can be preferable to many.
    (Still 2$ isn't much to fuss about, today for this game and tomorrow for Castlevania LOS2, not bad.)

    Valve is referring to the EULA and such and it is a bit of a gray area or some such but I've never seen anyone banned for activating a game like this whether it's Origin, UPlay, Steam or just some copy protection ala Securom.
    (However Valve and others will most definitively investigate and possibly take action if you use said VPN to bypass regional restrictions and pricing although some say that works too but I wouldn't risk it.)

    Config file is stored locally or what the accurate term is so it's placed with the game folder under ".\Thief\ThiefGame\Config" (Thief*.ini, don't mess with the defaults or that's my advice at least.)

    They're plain text so you can edit everything from AI to system settings however key bindings do not seem to apply and if you change them in-game the actual files affected is the profile file under C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\6545581\239160\remote (Default location.) so I'm unsure if that can be used at all.
    (Cheat-Engine?)

    There's also a ThiefCheatMenuManager.ini but changing it does nothing so that's not functional either although it has some interesting contents.

    (Kebab mod/unlocker instead of BurgerMod as for Deus Ex maybe, haha.)

    There's some older entries in the config file so it's not the most recent UE3 build from what little I can tell, once Gildor updates the UE3 viewer we'll know the actual build.
    (It's also heavily customized, Polynomial lighting is one thing you can tinker with, there's no bAllowD3D11 so they do something else for that, game supports DX10 and DX11 I think, plus Mantle via a update in March of course.)

    (Streaming is also deprecated it seems, they're using some custom system.)


    Gameplay at least so far is similar to Deadly Shadows although more directed and linear or how to say, hopefully with larger levels at least but I'm not expecting this to top the first two games though I do believe I'll enjoy it for what it is, should be fun to see what the developers have created using the Thief lore and characters.
    (Also you can see your arms and legs when looking down, nice extra for immersion.)

    Oh and as a UE3 full license there's no access to the command console either even though it is defined in the input ini file.
    (But that's nothing new whatsoever.)

    Interesting to hear that SSAA is non-working though the benchmark does give different scores depending on how it's set, guess a patch will arrive shortly then if it's bugged?
    (There already was one about two hours before the game went live, added the binary files and some other changed data at around ~40 MB and fixed/changed one of the few non-ingame cutscenes - USM format - at 300 MB.)

    (Similarly a day1 update was released just hours ago for Castlevania 2, changing about 500 MB of data.)

    Anything else I forgot about? I can't think of anything but I just got back home and the previous batch of images were fairly basic, showcasing events from the start of the prologue of the game up until the first chapter or mission or whatever they call it, no fancy editing.
    (There's sadly no option to toggle HUD healthbar and ammo/arrow counter - the light gem can be hidden but for some reason the health and ammo ones are probably deemed to important - so that's why you see those in the screens where the interface is present.)

    A bit of a lengthy reply but I think that answered the question, and some completely unrelated things plus a bit more still, ha ha.



    EDIT: Back to Thief, finished the first mission and it's not too bad though yeah it's a pretty linear progress with little room to explore.
