GPU's for Video/Photo Editing and gaming..

    Excuse me..i find it hard to decide which of this 2 product will served my need..i'm goin to upgrade my gpu,i'm doin some video editing,photoshop, few projects and of coz gaming! Palit GTX 670 Jetstream or Sapphire 7970..i need some advice..i heard my nieces ask me to come to these thread..i'm new and thanks in advance..

    the 670 will have the edge in all of the above except for gaming. 7970 will be a bit faster in games.

    i saw the minimum requirement for both card is 500watt which i already have..mine 80plus but not the golden bronze sticker,its white..so is that okay..?

    With a weak Power supply you may be better with a 670 as it uses less power than a 7970 when under load.

    ok i see it now but i still have doubt on other task with my side work..i'll be doing some lite stuff with video encoding,photoshop and just come to know that certain gaming's gpu will help..so if it better with 7970 i'll go with that changin the cpu and psu..if 670 is capable i'll stick to the 670..sorry not many can help me with this nearby..please help..thanks in advance..

    What software do you use for video encoding? Does it use OpenCL, or CUDA?

    Adobe Photoshop CS6 supports OpenCL...The 7970 will perform much better than the 670 in OpenCL, often in multiples.

    Anyways, I'd go for the 7970 regardless. It's faster in pretty much everything.
