Intel DH61HO and i5 3570k

    Hi, i would like to know if i can use an I5 3570k with a DH61HO mobo, some sites says the it will work but others says it won't work at all, the mobo has the latets BIOS, thanks in advance

    I read that, the max TDP is 65w and the 3570k is 77w, i dont use the intel GPU so i disable it, some people says that it will work but can have issues if the CPU is stressed (heavy gaming or benchmarks)

    I personally have used a higher TDP/beefier cpu on a non-supported motherboard before and it was pure hell.

    That was an AMD FX 8350 in an 880G Extreme3 however.

    If I were you i'd just get any cheap board that actually supports it instead of risking blowing your mosfets.

    Thanks for your help, well i will try to get that cheap CPU and buy a cheap board too

    Sometimes those boards won't even power on when a CPU with higher TDP is detected.
