Hi, i would like to know if i can use an I5 3570k with a DH61HO mobo, some sites says the it will work but others says it won't work at all, the mobo has the latets BIOS, thanks in advance
Their official pdf says no. https://www.intel.com/content/dam/support/us/en/documents/boardsandkits/desktop-boards/DH61HO.pdf It only powers very low TDP processors so I would no even be trying out the 3570k in that board.
I read that, the max TDP is 65w and the 3570k is 77w, i dont use the intel GPU so i disable it, some people says that it will work but can have issues if the CPU is stressed (heavy gaming or benchmarks)
I personally have used a higher TDP/beefier cpu on a non-supported motherboard before and it was pure hell. That was an AMD FX 8350 in an 880G Extreme3 however. If I were you i'd just get any cheap board that actually supports it instead of risking blowing your mosfets.
