Still mis-identifies which GPU is in which slot. However since all three of mine are Fermi, I'm crunching along at nearly 47k PPD. So for me, a cosmetic issue.
Hmmmm, looks like upgrading from the previous 7 beta client doesn't work, Fah Control keeps saying it can't connect to my folding unit.
k3vst3r here a guide http://foldingforum.org/viewtopic.php?f=67&t=18187 cyberjunk have you try completely un-installing it and trying again
sweet just updated by uninstalling (left data unticked) pointed it to previous data folder and away it went... I see the viewer is still borked though demo protein gets awefull boring after a while
it's proly the fact your running 2x 580 and 1x 470 and if you've two nvidia cards already installed why do you need an third much slower card for pussX
The 470 isn't that much slower than a 580 actually. The 470's are highly underrated. That was my first fermi card. It can be pushed to the same performance as a 480 with heavy OC's basically. It's a fantastic card for PhysX actually.
I still don't see why you need another nVidia GPU for pussX if you've already got 2 580's it's not likely they're going struggle with pussX .... anywho back to topic V7 is probably trying to ID your 470 as an 580 or it thinks your running 3 470's or 3 580's or something silly like that but if it's working then why worry, It'll most likely be fixed in a later build
It's PhysX...and for a title like Mafia II I get nearly a 50% increase in framerate and it folds very well clocked to 800 on the core. Plus I've still got the SLI 580's for gaming unhindered. The only downside was reading your posts.
hey mr B this is not needed yet but it is a lot easier to setup, from my point of view if you need to re-install your client for any reason, then i would say there's not any use for old one just start using V7 from now on remember though that this is still in beta
