    Hey everyone;

    About 10 minutes ago I was playing Far Cry 4 and my PC shut itself and opened itself again and it gave the error "Power supply surge detected". What is the meaning? What should I do? I play the game on 'Very High' settings.

    My specs are:
    Motherboard: ASUS Z77A
    CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K @ 3.4GHz (Ivy Bridge, Quad Core, LGA 1155)
    RAM: GSKILL Sniper 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3
    HDD: Western Digital Caviar Blue 500 GB + Western Digital Elements SE 1 TB
    GPU: Sapphire R9 280X Vapor-X 3GB 384Bit DX11.2
    Power Supply: Xigmatek Centauro 800W (80+)

    The warning is an Asus proprietary thing. It basically tells you if there was a power delivery problem to the motherboard. Considering it came right back on, it's likely it was a problem with power delivery to your house and nothing more. If it happens again, then I would test with a different power supply.
